It’s official – Ant-Man and The Wasp looks awesome.
Ant-Man is back… and this time, Marvel’s tiniest hero has a partner.
It looks as though Ant-Man and the Wasp is even bigger (or smaller) than the original Ant-Man movie. Paul Rudd is back as Ant-Man – the incredible shrinking superhero… but this time, he has a partner in the form of Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lily) – aka The Wasp.
Will she be up to the job?
See for yourself in this explosive new trailer… and yeah – she’s totally better than him.
I have to admit – Ant-Man was one of my favourite comic book movies in recent years, and I’ve been dying to see how they up the ante in the upcoming sequel. Clearly, that’s in the ever-capable hands of Evangeline Lily.
The Wasp is awesome. Absolutely, awesome.
And it looks as though her already-formidable combat skills are going to be put to good use.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: Ant-Man and The Wasp. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.”
Clearly, it’s going to be another visually impressive Marvel movie.
And with both Cassie and Luis returning, not to mention figures from Hope and Hank’s past, it looks as though we might be getting even more heart this time around.
Not to mention a great big dollop of humour.
I have a very good feeling about this… I mean, come on – just look at it.
Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Michael Douglas, Walton Goggins, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Laurence Fishburne.
Peyton Reed will direct the film, based on a script by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.
Ant-Man and The Wasp heads to cinemas on 3 August 2018.
