It looks as though Avengers: Age of Ultron has finally unveiled The Vision in the impressive new trailer… and he looks rather awesome.
We’ve already seen the death and destruction that Ultron is capable of… and in this latest trailer from Marvel Studios, we find out a little more about his motives. As well as the new android on the block who might be able to stop him.
That’s right – a glimpse of The Vision has been revealed.
Appearing at the very end of this already awesome trailer, The Vision is clearly sporting a look that’s far closer to the comic books than we thought. And with rumours of a far more subdued colour scheme, this is likely going to be good news for the fans.
Of course, that’s not all we get in this new trailer… which also features an impressive Ultron monologue.
“I was designed to save the world,” he says. “People would look to the sky and see hope. I’ll take that from them first… There’s only one path to peace – their extinction.”
Delivering the speech like a Shakespearean villain (and also pictured atop a rather impressive throne) it seems that Ultron is going all-out evil. But have the Avengers met their match?
“I tried to create a suit of armour around the world,” says Tony Stark, as he unveils Ultron’s origins to an unsuspecting Bruce Banner. “But I created something terrible… it’s called the Ultron Programme.”
Of course, there are plenty of moments to get excited about in this action-packed trailer. We’re treated to even more action scenes as the Avengers gather around to tackle the Ultron threat… and even an amusing moment when Thor asks if that’s all he’s got.
And he’s going to wish he hadn’t asked…
But there are also some scenes which raise more questions about the ‘Avengers’ sequel.
For one thing, there’s a rather obvious nod towards Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the form of a deadly weapon that looks exactly like the Marvel mutant’s claws. But could it be a nod towards an X-Men / Avengers team up?
Unfortunately, it’s more likely to be the weapon of Marvel villain, Ulysses klaw – played by Andy Serkis. But for now, we’ll have to wait and see.
Either way, this explosive new trailer gives us our biggest look at Avengers: Age of Ultron yet… and we can’t wait for the film to head to cinemas.
Avengers: Age of Ultron heads to cinemas on 23 July 2015.
