Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer Announced

Avengers: Age of Ultron will soon get its first trailer… but when will it arrive in the UK.

22nd October 2014 by Ryan Leston

Avengers: Age of Ultron

It’s official – US fans will finally get their first glimpse at Marvel‘s Avengers: Age of Ultron on 28 October. The first trailer airs with the new series of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But when will it head to the UK?

Announced during yesterday’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. it looks as though the Avengers spin-off show will feature our first look at the upcoming Age of Ultron. And if you ask me, it’s about time. Heading to American screens during next week’s broadcast, the all-new trailer will lift the lid on the highly-anticipated Avengers sequel.

Tom Hardy Could Join X-Men: Apocalypse

Of course, the film itself won’t be heading to cinemas until April 2015, so it’s unlikely that we’ll be getting much more than a brief teaser… but it’s certainly a lot more than we’ve seen already.

Although details are still pretty scarce, we do know a few tidbits about the upcoming Age of Ultron. For one thing, it pits the Avengers against the might of Ultron – a robotic assistant created by Tony Stark who decides to rid the entire world of human beings…

And while we’re at it, this new trailer will likely give us our first glimpse at the titular villain in action… as well as his super-powered sidekicks, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

“They’re on Team Ultron,” Joss Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. “Which makes things really hard for the Avengers because all of sudden they’re dealing with powers that they’re not used to.”

“With the [first] Avengers, everybody pretty much had the power of being able to punch somebody. And now we have a woman who can get inside your head and move objects, and a boy that can move faster than anything, and a robot [Ultron] who can self-replicate and is out of his mind. So all of sudden, it’s a darker, weirder, tougher world that they’re living in.”

Avengers 3 Won’t Feature The Avengers?

Unfortunately, we might have to wait until ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ returns to UK TV before we get our ‘Age of Ultron’ fix. But let’s face it – it won’t be long before the first trailer starts to appear online.

And I can’t wait to see it.

Are you looking forward to ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’? What will the new trailer feature? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
