Marvel’s first TV spot for Avengers: Age of Ultron has appeared online… and it gives us another look at the Avengers’ latest foe.
Although there’s no new footage, Marvel has released its latest trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron – a TV spot that will air in the run-up to their latest blockbuster. And while it brings nothing new to the table, it’s already causing quite a stir.
After all, this is The Avengers we’re talking about.
Showcasing a recut version of the previous trailers, we’re given a quick glimpse of Ultron yet again, with that sinister voiceover that’s becoming all too familiar. Along with the iron legion and some very brief scenes from the Hulk vs Iron Man fight, it’s an exciting look at the film that’s obviously been designed to maximize impact.
And it does just that.
Unfortunately, there’s really nothing new at all… but it’s certainly rather cool to see the marketing ramping up before release. And that’s presumably what this is all about – hype.
Avengers: Age of Ultron sees the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America, as they unite once more to fight a common foe – Ultron.
Created from a dormant peacekeeping programme, Ultron wreaks havoc upon the world. But can The Avengers save humankind from their creation? And will they remain united by the end of the movie?
It looks as though there are plenty of questions to be answered… and this trailer doesn’t even come close to revealing anything. So for now, we’ll just have to wait and see. But let’s give it another watch, shall we?
Avengers: Age of Ultron heads to cinemas on 24 April 2014.
