Batman V Superman’s Lex Luthor Revealed

Batman V Superman has finally unveiled its Lex Luthor… and after much speculation, Jesse Eisenberg has gone bald.

This striking image was unveiled by the folks at Entertainment Weekly, and seems to put an end to months of speculation about the status of Jesse Eisenberg’s hairline. Yes, the new Lex Luthor is bald. And that might just indicate a nod to the DC villain of the comic books.

But director Zack Snyder says he’s not entirely what we might expect…

Batman’s Role In Suicide Squad Revealed?

“He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure,” said Snyder, “other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”

Over the past year or so, we’ve heard plenty of rumours about what the new Lex Luthor will be…and while it’s been difficult to decipher which rumours are closer to the truth than others it looks as though we can expect a very business-oriented Lex.

And those reports of an internet mogul might just be true.

But one thing’s for certain – it looks as though Lex Luthor will be bald. And he might have a bit of a way with words…

“Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake,” said Snyder. “He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”

Of course, quite what that means on the big screen remains to be seen… but with rumours that Lex is at the forefront of a media campaign against the Man of Steel, it seems that this silver-tongued skill could come in handy.

Deathstroke To Appear In Suicide Squad?

But will we see more of him in the lead up to Batman V Superman?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But I get the feeling this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Lex Luthor.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice heads to cinemas on 25 March 2016.

What do you think of Jesse Eisenberg’s new look? Will he make a great Lex Luthor? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
