After being tipped for the role of Indiana Jones in the rumoured new movie, it looks as though Chris Pratt would be up for the role…
During an interview with MTV News, the 35-year-old actor admitted that nothing is confirmed when it comes to the new Indiana Jones film… but he sure is interested.
“It’s all nothing until it’s something, and so far it’s not something,” he explained. “I don’t think it’s overwhelming to contemplate… It’d be cool. No one’s called me. Y’know, there’s a lot of talk about it.”
“The pressure would come just because it’s such a great franchise you wouldn’t want to get it wrong, so for me it would have to be perfect to do it. We’ll see, like I said it’s nothing until it’s something.”
Of course, Pratt’s comments come just days after it was revealed that Steven Spielberg is interested in the project – especially if it includes Chris Pratt. Could this mean that Disney and Lucasfilm will go all out to get him?
Surely it won’t be too difficult… after all, he’s already starred in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which as we know is owned by Disney.
But will Pratt really land the role of Indiana Jones?
If you ask me, the casting is perfect. He’s already shown that he has that Han Solo swagger in Guardians of the Galaxy and he certainly has the look to pull off a fedora and bullwhip. But while Chris Pratt would love to land the role, we shouldn’t forget that Harrison Ford is just as keen to star in an Indiana Jones film.
Around the time that Harrison Ford was still only rumoured for Star Wars VII, it was reported that a fifth Indiana Jones film was part of his contract. But does this rumour hold any weight?
If so, it could mean something rather awesome – both Harrison Ford and Chris Pratt playing Dr Henry Jones in the same film.
And wouldn’t that be something really special?
Will Chris Pratt sign on as Indiana Jones? Will he appear with Harrison Ford in the same film? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
