Marvel’s Daredevil will be back. The critically-acclaimed Netflix show has been greenlit for a third season.
And it should start filming sometime later this year.
During an interview with the Film and Telly Stuff podcast, Charlie Cox confirmed that Season Three of Daredevil is coming soon… and begins shooting later this year.
“I do that later in the year,” he said. “We’ll go back and do that.”
Of course, The Defenders is coming up, too.
And with its release date recently confirmed, it won’t be long before we get to see more Daredevil – this time, fighting alongside the rest of Marvel’s ground-level heroes.
But where will Daredevil go from there?
It looks as though the various shows have been building towards a colossal face-off against The Hand… but that’s likely to come in The Defenders. Instead, it would be cool to see some of Daredevil’s other comic book nemeses.

And Charlie Cox has a preference:
“It’s no secret, I’ve said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it, I’d like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point,” Cox told ScreenGeek back last year. “I think it’s a really interesting opportunity. Deborah Ann Woll obviously does not want Bullseye to show up for obvious reasons. Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn’t want Bullseye to show up either.”
The reason they don’t want him to show up?
Because Bullseye has a nasty habit of killing off the women Daredevil loves.
Still, he’s one of Daredevil’s greatest foes… and it’s probably inevitable that we’ll see them face off against each other at some point. Whether or not that will be in Season Three remains to be seen.
But I can’t think of a better villain to keep things interesting.
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Elodie Yung.
Daredevil will return to Netflix in The Defenders on 18 August 2017.
