After a brief tease yesterday, Daredevil unveils its full teaser trailer… and Matt Murdoch prepares to take on the Kingpin.
Coming to Netflix this April, Daredevil stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch – a blind lawyer who decides to take the law into his own hands. But while many of us have poor memories of the appalling Ben Affleck movie, it looks as though the upcoming TV couldn’t be more different.
Marvel’s Man Without Fear takes the dim, grimy spotlight as Daredevil is finally unveiled to the world. And it looks as though the upcoming Daredevil show is going dark, brooding and surprisingly gritty. At least, if this teaser trailer is anything to go by.
“Meet Matt Murdock,” says the official synopsis. “Blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt fights injustice by day as a respected lawyer and by night as the masked vigilante known as Daredevil in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. He’ll do anything to make his city a better place, but at what price?”
Of course, the rather awesome trailer gives us our first glimpse at Daredevil in action… and I have to admit, he really looks the part. Sporting the Frank Miller inspired black costume, it’s the perfect look for what we assume is Matt Murdoch’s origin story.
And is that Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin we see?
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson with Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
And after that brief glimpse, we can’t wait for the full series.
Daredevil heads to Netflix on 10 April 2015.
