It’s official – Here’s our first look at Marvel’s Doctor Strange.
It’s no secret that Benedict Cumberbatch will be throwing on a spangly red cape to become Marvel’s Doctor Strange. But while we’ve seen plenty of snaps of Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme, the first official teaser trailer gives us a closer look at what it’s all about…
And it looks pretty awesome.
“Forget everything that you think you know,” he’s warned in a rather ominous voiceover.
And judging by the impact Doctor Strange is going to have on the MCU, that advice could well apply to the viewing public, too.

“I don’t believe in fairy tales about chakras or energy or the power of belief,” says Cumberbatch in a rather throaty American accent. But after an encounter with The Ancient One (played by a decidedly bald Tilda Swinton) it seems he might change his mind.
Especially after she punches the soul right out of his body.

And with the Inception-like scene which follows, it looks as though the good doctor is going to experience his fair share of bending time and space… at the hands of Mads Mikkelsen’s mysterious villain.
But this is only the beginning.

“There are other ways to save lives,” says The Ancient One. “So much you don’t know.”
It certainly looks as though Doctor Strange will be heading off on quite the mind-bending journey of self-discovery… but when it comes to his powers, we’re still being kept in the dark.
Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, with Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo and Mads Mikkelsen in an unknown role.
Doctor Strange heads to cinemas on 28 October 2016.
