After rumours that a trailer for Fantastic Four will appear soon, it looks as though it’s going to be released alongside Kingsman: The Secret Service.
During an interview with the Latino Review, writer and producer Simon Kinberg confirmed the recent rumours… and it seems the first Fantastic Four trailer is just around the corner.
“We are very excited about the film and can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to,” he said. “And you will be able to do that very soon as I can confirm here that the teaser will be on Kingsman in theaters February 13.”
Of course, it was rumoured that the trailer would debut with Kingsman since sometime early this week… and it seems the rumours have turned out to be true. But what can we expect from our first look?
At the moment, we’re yet to get any real, concrete details about the movie… or even any hints or concept art reveals. So for now, your guess is as good as mine. But with rumblings that the production has been plagued with problems, Kinberg also takes time to address the rumour that they’d be heading back for extensive reshoots.
“To confirm – Fantastic Four will be doing 3-4 days of additional photography with director Josh Trank and some key cast members,” explained Kinberg… which is a bit of a difference compared to the rumoured schedule.
Originally rumoured to total several weeks, it looks as though Fantastic Four is actually heading back for some pretty standard reshoots. And that’s really not such a bad thing.
But will Fantastic Four be able to shrug all this bad press?
It seems to me that the upcoming superhero movie has an uphill struggle on its hands… and after rumours that 20th Century Fox are unhappy with the film, it’s easy to see why the fans might be a little apprehensive. After all, Fox is yet to make a Fantastic Four movie that just doesn’t suck.
Will Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot be the film that breaks the cycle? Will it finally be the perfect movie to bring the classic Marvel superhero team to our screens?
For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but with the first trailer coming soon, it won’t be long before we get our first glimpse.
