Game Of Thrones Season 5 Deaths Will Surprise Fans

George R. R. Martin promises some shocking deaths coming soon…

17th February 2015 by Ryan Leston

Game of Thrones - Kill the Boy

Although George R. R. Martin is renowned for cruelly killing off his main characters, it looks as though Game of Thrones fans will be shocked by Season 5’s upcoming deaths.

Game of Thrones fans should prepare themselves for something unexpected – George R. R Martin isn’t the only one who can kill off your favourite characters. And it seems you might not be too pleased with what happens in Season 5 of the fantasy epic…

Danny Dyer Auditioned For Game Of Thrones

During an interview with The Independent, the 66-year-old author explained that Game of Thrones Season 5 may start including deaths that aren’t in the books…

“People are going to die who don’t die in the books,” he revealed. “So even the book readers will be unhappy. Everybody better be on their toes. [Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss] are even bloodier than I am.”

Of course, this seems to echo the sentiments of Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO series.

“There’s some massive moments,” she told the Huffington Post. “Perhaps even more shocking than the Red Wedding.”

Obviously, this isn’t the first time that Game of Thrones has deviated from the source material… and seems to do so a little more with each passing Season. But now it looks as though Season 5 will really ramp it up. And it could result in the bloody end of characters who would otherwise survive in the books.

Game Of Thrones Season Five Teaser

But who will be for the chop?

There’s already plenty of speculation about which characters will be bumped off. But it’s not just the deaths that have fans chattering. In fact, there’s some speculation that Sansa Stark is one of the characters who will meet a sticky end… becoming Lady Stoneheart instead of her mother.

Whether or not this transpires on screen remains to be seen. But one thing’s for certain – Game of Thrones Season 5 is likely to be the most surprising yet.

Who do you think will meet a sticky end in Season 5? Will Sansa Stark end up as Lady Stoneheart? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
