It looks as though a brand new website has launched today for Game of Thrones… along with a cool teaser video that drops some hints for the upcoming fifth season of the fantasy epic.
Earlier today, the official Game of Thrones Twitter account unveiled a rather mysterious new website – ThreeEyedRaven.com. This new website invites fans to sign up for notifications of the new series… with a rather ominous message.
“The Raven brings The Sight,” it says. “Continue to receive visions of the future.” And if you sign up for Twitter notifications, you’ll be greeted with a direct message: “You now have the power of #TheSight. Keep watch for visions of the future.”
What does it mean? For now, we have no idea… but it’s likely to be the start of some season five Game of Thrones notifications.
“HBO declined to give any hints,” said The Hollywood Reporter. “But promised that those who signed up for updates would be able to piece together what it’s all about.”
And it might just give us a hint about what’s going on with the Three Eyed Raven. Or perhaps a full season five trailer. But for now, there’s also a small teaser…
Along with a link to their new website, Game of Thrones also tweeted a video featuring the voice of Melisandre telling Arya that “I see a darkness in you.” Does this have something to do with the Three Eyed Raven or The Sight? For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But more importantly, it seems to hint at a dark future for poor Arya.
In previous seasons, Bran Stark has been pursuing the Three Eyed Raven – a creature he eventually found at the end of the last season. But with Bran and Hodor confirmed to be sitting out season five, could we see their storylines continue through Arya?
Game of Thrones season five currently has no confirmed air date… though it’s expected sometime during spring 2015. Will we get more of Bran’s story? For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But perhaps #TheSight can tell us soon enough…
