It looks as though we are about to see Nick get his powers back in this week’s episode of Grimm as a determined Juliette agrees to take the potion… and it’s about time!
This becomes even more pressing as it seems Monroe may need his help very soon…
He explains that the burning wolfsangel left on his lawn was likely a warning from the Secundum Naturae Ordinem Wesen, an ancient organisation that believes in blood purity. Monroe and Rosalee’s marriage is a crime against man and nature in their eyes, so it seems likely that the situation will escalate. I only hope Nick gets his powers back in time.
Back at Nick and Juliette’s place, Elizabeth is brewing the potion. With three deep breaths from the hat, Juliette is transformed into Adalind… and it seems she’s become like her in more ways than one. Acting a little slutty, she tells Nick not to close his eyes and to enjoy it – because she will. Yikes!
But has it worked?
Elizabeth takes the hat to Renard and tells him she had underestimated its power. She insists he keeps it and treats it with respect. Maybe he’ll need it himself in the future? She announces she’ll be leaving soon, to search for her Grand-daughter… and asks Renard to be ready if Nick’s mum gets in touch. But will she be able to find her? The Grimm managed to convince her own son she was dead and stay out of sight for over twenty years – I think she’ll have a tough job tracking her down.
Meanwhile in Vienna, Adalind is busy telling Viktor all the details of her previous escape with baby Diana. After explaining it was Kelly Burkhart who took the fleeing pair to Portland, Viktor realises it was Kelly who took the baby. And it seems she duped both him and the resistance.
It looks as though Kelly will have quite an entourage pursuing her. But who will find her first? Elizabeth or the Royals? Either way, it looks like there will be some exciting battles to come… and my money is on Kelly.
Back in Portland a desperate Josh shows up at Nick’s house, surprising Trubel who is hiding out from Chavez’s goons. He explains he has no place else to go and needs Nick’s help, but Trubel tells him things have changed now Nick has lost his powers. But will she be able to help instead?
Elsewhere a young couple are forced off the road and crash into the undergrowth. Whilst trapped in the car, two reptilian-like wesen approach and choke Dix unconscious with their tongue and kidnap him, leaving his wife Suleka trapped.
Later at the site Hank finds a small reptilian sculpture made out of scrap metal, the figure turns out to be the killer’s signature and leads to Nick identifying the wesen as Phansigars. These Kamodo Dragon-like wesen sacrifice a young couple to their god Kali every three years… burying them alive.
Thankfully Nick, Hank and Monroe track the Phansigars to their junk yard just in time to save their human sacrifices. Nick’s powers kick back in and he is able to take-out the reptilian trio with a can of Grimm whoop-ass… he’s back!
Nick shares the good news back at the spice shop and Juliette seems pleased. However, Trubel is visibly shocked and turns away to hide her feelings. When Nick approaches her, she hugs him and tells him she’s happy not to be the only Grimm, but I doubt they are her true feelings.
With Nick back to full strength, could she be worrying there isn’t a place for her anymore? What will she do next? Maybe Josh turning up is a blessing in disguise. Will she focus her energy on helping him while Nick is distracted by Monroe and Juliette? We’ll have to wait and see, but it feels like a change is coming…
What do you think Grimmsters, will Trubel feel pushed out now Nick is back? Who do you think will get to Kelly Burkhart first? Let us know in the comments below…
