Jack Huston will star as Eric Draven in the upcoming reboot of The Crow.
That’s right folks – after entering talks for the role of Eric Draven, it seems that Jack Huston has landed the leading role in The Crow. Following the departure of Luke Evans, it’s about time they secured their leading man. And it seems Jack Huston is definitely on board.
According to the folks at Dread Central, the 32-year-old actor will definitely be leading the upcoming reboot of The Crow. And that info is courtesy of creator James O’Barr himself.
“Jack Huston has definitely been cast,” he said, explaining that he is “really happy with that choice.” He also added that the remake “will shoot in a couple of months.” He also explained that the new film will be a straight adaptation of the comic book – whereas the earlier film deviated to quite a degree.
Jack Huston is perhaps best known for his appearance in Boardwalk Empire but has appeared on the big screen alongside Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper in American Hustle.
Of course, Jack Huston was earlier tipped for the role after Evans dropped out. And now it looks as though those early rumours have panned out.
But who will join Huston in this ambitious (and long-in-development) comic book movie remake?
At the moment, details remain scarce about the project. But with filming apparently scheduled to begin in the coming months, it won’t be long before we get our first glimpse at the upcoming reboot.
And perhaps then we’ll have some idea who will join Huston on set.
But for now, we’ll have to wait and see.
