Jurassic World has launched a new, fully interactive website.
Jurassic World, directed by Colin Trevorrow, isn’t out until summer of next year, but already the marketing team are hard at work to promote the dinosaur adventure.
The site, titled Masrani, has entire scripts of history and information on this fictional company that we can now presume will feature heavily in the movie. There are photos (all watermarked and numbered for ‘authenticity’) of the running of the company, as well as of the current owner Simon Masrani, with many cool documents to skim over about their links to John Hammond and InGen.
One section details:
“By 1998 InGen was under the Masrani umbrella and the years from 2002 to 2004 would help lead the Masrani company on their biggest adventure yet: the construction of Jurassic World on Isla Nublar.”
What’s more, there’s a host of company figures and quotes from other CEOs that not only looks like a real, working company, but shows how much effort has gone into making this webpage as authentic as possible. Anyone stumbling upon it who is unaware of the ‘JP’ world, could easily think it were a real thing.
There’s even a human resources section, where we’re invited to ‘join’ the successful team of Masrani in one of a number of specialist jobs, although it doesn’t say anywhere about the risk of being eaten by a Velociraptor, though.
It’s great when film promo extends to this degree, so let’s hope Chris Pratt and co are able to deliver when it finally hits screens a whopping 22 years after Spielberg’s original.
Jurassic World opens here in the UK on 12 June, 2015.
