The recent Jurassic World teaser trailer gave us our first glimpse at their all-new, genetically modified dinosaurs. Now, it looks as though a leaked image has provided us with a better look at this new terror.
That’s right – it’s not long since the official trailer hit the internet, but while we were treated to a glimpse of the D-Rex, it looks as though we’ve now got a lot more than that. In this cool (but pretty low-res) image, it’s claimed that we’ve got our first full-shot of the new Jurassic World dinosaur.

This new image from the Jurassic_World2015 Instagram (via CBM) features a much bigger look at the D-Rex – a genetically modified dinosaur which was created by the scientists of Jurassic World in order to be bigger, badder and pull in a much larger crowd.
And rather upsettingly, it seems this leaked image has come just hours after director Colin Trevorrow explained that they aim to keep the D-Rex firmly under wraps.
“We may see little pieces of her as we get closer,” he said in an interview with Empire Magazine. “In fact, we already have – but I’m confident that we can keep much of that animal under wraps.”
Unfortunately, it looks as though that’s not the case… and within hours of his comments hitting the internet, this new image revealed everything there is to see about the new D-Rex.
It may not be the best quality image but the D-Rex clearly features a spined head, with far larger arms than the usual T-Rex – a forced evolutionary step that may well be the undoing of its creators – Masrani Global.
Having filled in the DNA sequences with attributes presumably from other dinosaurs, it looks as though the D-Rex features defence mechanisms and combat capabilities of other kinds of dinosaur. And that can’t be a good idea.
Of course, we likely won’t get a better look at the mysterious D-Rex until the film arrives in cinemas next year. But for now, it looks as though this latest leak may have taken the wind out of ‘Jurassic World’s sails.
Jurassic World is expected in cinemas from 12 June 2015.
