Lindsay Lohan Wants To Play Batgirl

It looks as though Lindsay Lohan fancies the role of Batgirl…

7th January 2018 by Ryan Leston

Batgirl DC

It looks as though Lindsay Lohan has her sights on Batgirl.

But could she end up with her own comic book movie?

It’s no secret that Lindsay Lohan hasn’t made a feature film since the critically-panned The Canyons back in 2013… but taking to Twitter, she revealed she has her sights set on a very popular DC heroine.

“RT if I should star in the new BATGIRL movie,” she said. “And everyone tell @joss ?❤️”

Of course, Joss Whedon is apparently still set to direct the upcoming Batgirl solo movie… and it looks as though Lindsay Lohan is keen on nabbing the title role.

Barbara Gordon – aka Batgirl – is the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, and ends up taking up the mantle of Batgirl.

But is Lindsay Lohan the right girl for the job?

We haven’t really heard much about Batgirl since it was first announced several months ago, and with new DC Movies President Walter Hamada on the job, there cold be a few shakeups to their upcoming slate.

That said, I get the feeling Batgirl is probably safe.

Joe Manganiello Wants To Make Dungeons & Dragons Movie

It’s no secret that Batman is a huge property for DC, and with the company keen to develop numerous Batman-centric properties (such as Suicide Squad and Gotham City Sirens) it’s a safe bet that Batgirl will still be on the slate.

But will they really want Lindsay Lohan in the role?

At this stage, it’s anyone’s guess… but I can’t help thinking they’re likely to pitch this one a little younger, if only to get the longest shelf-life out of the actress who ends up playing her.

Of course, it’s still a possibility… but for now, we’ll have to wait and see.
