Nebula Returns In Guardians Of The Galaxy 2

Karen Gillan will be back in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

3rd April 2015 by Ryan Leston

Guardians of the Galaxy Nebula Karen Gillan

Doctor Who star Karen Gillan will return in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 reprising the role of Nebula.

During a Q&A session on Periscope, director James Gunn revealed that Karen Gillan would be back in the upcoming Marvel sequel… and he also revealed that their script is coming along nicely.

“I turned in my treatment,” he said. “I’m going to meet about it on Friday and we will start working on the screenplay next week.”

Normally, a treatment wouldn’t include massive amounts of detail… but in this case, it looks as though things are being done a little differently.

Gunn explained that he’s already pretty far along with the screenplay – having completed around 70 pages so far. And he even confirmed some details…

Gunn went on to reveal that Ronan the accuser is definitely, one-hundred-percent dead after the events of the first film. But he certainly understands why comic book fans might want to see him back.

But he did confirm that Nebula would return… and this is bound to be good news for the fans. After all, she didn’t have a massive amount to do (apart from the obligatory fight scenes with Gamora). So perhaps they’ll beef up her role in the upcoming sequel.

Who else will be back? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

But with the likes of Benicio Del Toro’s Collector presumably still in the mix, it could well be a very interesting movie. And with Zoe Saldana returning as Gamora, it looks as though sibling rivalry could play a big part in the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 heads to cinemas on 28 April 2017.

Are you looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy 2? Who else will return in the sequel? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
