It’s time for another impressive trailer from Matthew Vaughan’s latest movie, Kingsman: The Secret Service. And this one’s a doozy.
Colin Firth stars as Harry Hart – a bespectacled gentleman with all the manners of a bygone age. But don’t be fooled – behind the sheen of a well-groomed exterior, Harry is a man you wouldn’t want to mess with. He’s one of the finest secret agents of a clandestine spy organisation. An international programme known as Kingsman. And it looks as though he has a new recruit in his sights…
Introducing Taron Egerton as ‘Eggsy’ – a young, chavvy upstart who can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble. Of course, we soon find out that there’s a bit of a family connection… and Harry wants to give young Eggsy the chance of a new start. But will he be up to the challenge?
Stepping into a world of secrets and subterfuge, Eggsy takes the plunge… but it’s not long before he’s forced to face mankind’s greatest threat.
“Mankind is a virus,” according to Samuel L. Jackson… and apparently he’s the cure. Starring as a no nonsense villain with attitude, it looks as though Jackson is more than a match for our plucky heroes. And with a henchwoman who seems to have swords for feet… well, it’s going to be an interesting match up.
Kingsman: The Secret Service is going to be an action-packed thrill-ride into the world of espionage. Based on the comic books by Mark Millar, I get the feeling this is gong to be one to look out for.
Kingsman: The Secret Service appears in cinemas across the UK on 5 February 2015.
