Star Wars Spin-Off Heading To Pinewood Soon

It looks as though the upcoming Star Wars spin-off is about to make a splash… with production beginning soon at Pinewood.

The upcoming Star Wars spin-off is about to make a splash… with production beginning soon at Pinewood.

Although the first Star Wars spin-off is expected for release in 2016, very little is known about the highly-anticipated film. All we know so far is that Gareth Edwards will direct, and Gary Whitta is writing the screenplay. But it looks as though that’s about to change as the untitled spin-off heads into production at Pinewood Studios.

Star Wars VII Action Figures Unveiled

According to Making Star Wars, the highly-anticipated spin-off movie is about to kick off shortly… and that means a production base setting up in the UK.

“When James Bond finishes up at Pinewood, it will relinquish its space and crew to Star Wars spin-off number one,” said their source. And that means a new production office at the Pinewood Studios lot.

“The first non-Skywalker Saga story is gearing up to go into production,” they explained. “A production office at Pinewood will be there really soon is the word around the studio… After Bond wraps at the studio, it will return to being a Star Wars centric space for its second new ‘Star Wars’ film.”

According to their report, many of the the James Bond crew members will be heading over to the galaxy far, far away… but that’s not uncommon. After all, many of the Force Awakens crew apparently jumped straight into the upcoming Bond movie.

But what will the upcoming spin-off film be about?

At the moment, we’re still unsure… but there have been plenty of rumours linking Boba Fett and a band of bounty hunters and mercenaries to the upcoming movie. Sadly, we’ve yet to get any official confirmation of this. So for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers Confirms Star Wars VII Role

But with the production office reportedly opening early next year, it won’t be long before we start seeing casting rumours and potential plot points for this mysterious spin-off movie. And it might not be long before we get an official synopsis.

Of course, for now we’ll have to wait and see… but for a completely unknown film, it’s already causing quite a stir.

Do you think the Star Wars spin-off is heading to production soon? What do you think it will be about? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
