Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad may be forming as we speak… as David Ayer’s all-star cast enters final talks for their upcoming roles. But who will be among them?

It’s no secret that the Suicide Squad movie is fast becoming one of the most anticipated comic book films of the next few years. And with an all-star cast rumoured to appear, it looks as though Warner Bros. is pulling out all the stops. But who will sign up as DC’s most feared super villains? It might not be long before we find out…

Wonder Woman To Be Directed By Michelle McLaren

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast of the upcoming Suicide Squad are entering final negotiations for their villainous roles.

“Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are in the final stages of talks for roles,” they explained. “Colin Wilson is producing.”

Of course, Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy and Margot Robbie have been in the running for some time… with Jared Leto recently rumoured to be up for the role of The Joker. But will any of these big names land a role in the Suicide Squad movie?

It’s certainly possible… and it sounds as though negotiations may already be coming to a close. But I can’t help noticing there’s one name that’s notably missing from their list – Will Smith.

Rumoured to be up for a role since the film’s initial announcement, it looks as though Smith may have left the film behind. But there’s still the small matter of whether or not Jared Leto is up for The Joker.

Suicide Squad was created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru and have featured heavily in DC comic book since 1959. Given the chance to reduce their sentences by undertaking dangerous missions for the US government, the squad features some of the most dangerous criminals of the DC universe.

And it looks as though they may be in for an explosive debut on the big screen.

Suicide Squad heads to cinemas on 4 August 2016.

Will Jared Leto land the role of The Joker? What about the rest of the rumoured Suicide Squad cast? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
