Vin Diesel Teases Role In Marvel’s Inhumans

Vin Diesel may have landed a role in The Inhumans.

28th December 2014 by Ryan Leston

Vin Diesel The Inhumans

Guardians of the Galaxy wasn’t enough for Vin Diesel… as he teases a role in Marvel’s upcoming movie, The Inhumans.

After Vin Diesel was confirmed to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many of us wondered whether that would really be it – would Marvel really only use him in the role of a talking tree? Of course, he’s been rumoured for another entirely separate role for some time… and it looks as though he might be ready to let the cat out of the bag.

Mike Colter Cast As Marvel’s Luke Cage

Heading to Facebook, the 47-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star uploaded a rather revealing photo… and it seems to confirm that he’ll be appearing in Marvel’s upcoming Inhumans movie.

Vin Diesel The Inhumans

“Are you Inhuman?” asks the rather obvious image… but does this mean that Vin Diesel has landed a role in the obscure Marvel adaptation?

The Inhumans were introduced to the Marvel comic books in 1965 and began their own series ten years later. Based upon a race of superhuman beings, the Inhuman royal family form the core group of characters, led by the rather odd hero, Black Bolt.

The mute hero possesses a hypersonic scream which could level an entire city with so much as a whisper. And it’s this character that Vin Diesel has been rumoured to appear as for some time.

But has he landed the rather odd role?

If you ask me, it’s a genius move by Marvel Studios if that’s the case. After all, The Inhumans aren’t exactly a household name… but Vin Diesel is. Although the MCU usually shies away from stunt casting, this could be the perfect time to rethink their stance.

General Ross To Appear In Ant-Man?

And with Vin Diesel in the title role, it’s certainly going to bring some publicity to an otherwise obscure comic book movie.

Of course for now, we’ll just have to wait and see… but I can’t help thinking that Vin Diesel’s rather obvious stunt has let the cat out of the bag. And perhaps we should expect an official announcement in the coming months.

Will The Inhumans star Vin Diesel as Black Bolt? Who do you think will join him? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
