Cara Delevingne Rumoured For Suicide Squad

After the official announcement of Suicide Squad, it looks as though Cara Delevingne is reportedly linked to the movie.

Suicide Squad

After the official announcement of Suicide Squad, we’ve seen everyone from Tom Hardy to Will Smith tipped for a role… and now Cara Delevingne is reportedly linked to the movie.

It’s no secret that ‘Suicide Squad’ is coming… and it’s going to be our first DC movie after the highly-anticipated Batman V Superman. But who will be appearing in the main roles? There’s been plenty of rumours and speculation, but nothing concrete as yet. And now Cara Delevingne is the latest name to be tipped for a role.

Aquaman: Zack Snyder Praises Jason Momoa

According to the Latino Review, the 22-year-old British model is a strong contender for the role of a female villain in the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’.

“Warners is seriously looking at 22 year old English fashion model, socialite, actress, and singer Cara Delevingne for the villainous female role in the film,” they explain. “Could it be Harley Quinn? I’m not sure at press time.”

Of course, Harley Quinn is one of the most recognisable members of the comic book Suicide Squad… but she was apparently missing from early drafts of the script.

“Earlier drafts of the script didn’t have Harley included,” they explain. “That all can change since it is expected that David Ayer will take a crack at the script.”

Obviously, anything can change between the first draft and the film hitting cinemas… and I have to admit, I can certainly see Cara Delevingne in the role. But will Harley Quinn be in the movie at all?

It looks as though Cara herself certainly thinks so… or perhaps she was preparing a rather DC-oriented Halloween costume when she publically posted the following Instagram image of Harley Quinn herself.

Of course, this is just the latest rumour circling the Suicide Squad but it’s one that I could really see happening. Although the Latino Review seems unsure as to which role Delevingne is being considered for, I’d suggest that if she’s in the mix at all, then Harley Quinn would be a very natural role for her to take.
