After months of waiting, it’s finally time for the impressive first teaser trailer from Disney’s highly-anticipated sci-fi family flick, Tomorrowland. Make no mistake – it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Britt Robertson stars as Casey – a disillusioned teenager bursting with scientific curiosity who just can’t catch a break. Growing tired of the increasingly harsh world around her, she longs to live in a place free from troubles… and along with George Clooney’s Frank, it looks as though she just might make it there.
“What if there was a place, a secret place, where nothing is impossible?” he asks. And it looks as though there might just be…
A former boy-genius, Frank has already seen the wonders that Tomorrowland promises. And so the two embark on an epic adventure to find their way there… and they might just change the world in the process.
Already touted as Hogwarts for science, Tomorrowland promises audiences a glimpse at a future where anything is possible… and while little is shown of Tomorrowland itself, it seems we can expect jetpacks as standard. Pretty cool, huh?
Based on Disney World’s very own Tomorrowland attraction, the screenplay is written by Lost writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof as well as two-time Oscar winner, Brad Bird.
Starring George Clooney and Britt Robertson as well as Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy and Tim McGraw, Tomorrowland already promises some dimension-shifting visuals. And if the storyline is anywhere near as impressive as the briefly glimpsed effects, then Disney is already onto a winner.
