It looks as though Heroes is back with a bang as NBC debuts the first trailer for Heroes Reborn and it looks just as awesome as we’d hoped.
The Man With Horn-Rimmed Glasses is back as Noah Bennet (played by Jack Coleman) witnesses a mysterious new character bringing strange and mysterious lights into the skies around them.
But what does it all mean?
The trailer – titled Aurora looks strangely similar to the Eclipse – an event in the original series which sparked a group of ordinary people to unlock their dormant super powers. And it’s surely no co-incidence… After all, as the title suggests, it’s likely that several new heroes will find themselves Reborn.
And it looks as though one of those people could be newcomer Zachary Levi.
Spotted in the trailer looking upon the Aurora, we’re yet to see any super powers… and it might just turn out that he’s a big player with having any special abilities. But considering he’s the only new character we know about just yet, I get the feeling he’s probably something a bit special.
But does the new trailer tell us anything about the new series?
Honestly… not much.
It’s likely that they’re following the same style as the first series of Heroes with the Aurora unlocking super-human powers in a group of ordinary people. But that’s about all we know.
Thankfully, while this trailer gives us only a brief tease of what’s to come, it looks as though the show is returning to its roots. And that has to be a good thing.
If you ask me, the first series of Heroes was one of the best in TV history… while the several follow up seasons really struggled to find their feet. Could this be a return to form for the super-powered show?
For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but it looks promising.
