James Franco Accused Of Sexual Harassment After Golden Globes Win

The Disaster Artists star James Franco has been accused of sexual harassment.

By Ryan Leston 9th January 2018

Actor James Franco has been accused of sexual harassment.

After snagging Best Actor at the Golden Globes, it looks as though James Franco now faces a number of sexual harassment allegations which have surfaced online.

Several women have already taken to Twitter to detail what appears to be specific experiences with the star of The Disaster Artist… with writer and actress Violet Paley giving a detailed account of her accusations.

“Cute #TIMESUP pin James Franco,” she said. “Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?”

Another actress named Sarah Tither-Kaplan, claims that Franco exploited her by underpaying her for her roles in two of his movies, which required full nudity.

“Hey James Franco, nice #timesup pin at the #GoldenGlobes,” she said. “Remember a few weeks ago when you told me the full nudity you had me do in two of your movies for $100/day wasn’t exploitative because I signed a contract to do it? Times up on that!”

A number of other accusations soon followed.

James Franco will be at multiple parties tonight and asked dozens of questions by reporters. Not one will ask him about @allysheedy1 or her Tweets. No one will ask him about the underage girls. No one will ask him about his acting school partner or why they suddenly had to close

Breakfast Club star Ally Sheedy worked with James Franco on the 2014 play, The Long Shrift… and an account claiming to be her has hinted at an unspecified encounter with the actor.

“James Franco just won,” read a now-deleted tweet. “Please never ever ask me why I left show business.”

Apparently, these tweets aren’t the first time these accusations have been voiced, as L.A. Weekly writer April Wolfe has confirmed that a story is being worked on about Franco… but that sources seem to have become impatient.

“After my profile of Franco was published, some people reached out to tell me about encounters with him,” she said via Twitter. “I knew a story was being worked on by some reporters, but these folks got impatient. It’s hard to watch someone who hurt you be lavished w/ praise.”

James Franco is yet to respond to these allegations.
