The Justice League trailer is finally here…
And it looks awesome.
After several days of character posters and teaser trailers, it looks as though the first full Justice League trailer is finally here. Featuring Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and even Cyborg, it’s a cool glimpse at how the Justice League gets together.
But there’s one big question – Where’s Superman?
Clearly, Warner Bros. is holding something back here…
And it’s likely to do with the ending of Batman V Superman. After all, the Man of Steel was ‘killed’ during the climactic battle, and it looks as though Bruce Wayne is likely going to be putting the Justice League together in his absence – uniting the heroes of the world to do what Superman once did.
And to that end, it looks as though he’s picked the right guys.
Wonder Woman is a joy to watch (as always) and I have to admit – Jason Momoa really comes into his own as the gruff, rough-and-ready Aquaman. Even The Flash brings that geeky charm to the ensemble, and it’s clear he’s going to be getting his fair share of one-liners.
But Cyborg? Eurgh…
It’s clear that the majority of their CGI budget went on his costume. And at the moment, it looks like a cross between Robocop and the new Power Rangers. I can’t help thinking that they could have gone with something a little more grounded… and just not quite so fussy. Still, it’s an interesting design, and it’ll be good to see how it performs on the big screen in amongst longer, more action-oriented scenes.
Either way, the Justice League is shaping up… and they look pretty good.
As for what the movie is about, it looks as though it’ll likely tie into Batman’s vision from Batman V Superman – a weird moment in the aforementioned movie, but it may finally make more sense when this hits cinemas.
