The latest Sharknado film has finally been given an official title: Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!… and it heads our way on 22 July 2015.
The two-hour made-for-TV movie will star Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, David Hasselhoff, and Bo Derek and will premiere of the SyFy channel on 22 July 2015.
“We wanted this third title to boldly go where no shark movie has gone before,” explained Senior VP at SyFy, Chris Regina. “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!’ embraces the larger-than-life irreverence that has made these movies so popular and entertaining.”
Of course, the biggest news is that Sharknado 3 will now star the one and only David Hasselhoff. But it seems plenty of other celebs will be getting in on the act.
Additional cameo roles include Mark Cuban as the President of the USA, Ann Coulter as the Vice President, Jerry Springer as Mr White (a manic tourist), Washington Redskins tackle Tom Compton as a news reporter; *NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, and Chris Jericho as ‘Bruce the roller coaster ride operator’.
And thankfully, we Sharknado fans won’t have to wait long until the movie is available in the UK. Although the film premieres on 22 July in the USA, SyFy has announced that it will also be available across all territories within 24 hours of its debut broadcast.
“The sharks and tornadoes get all the glory, but we would like to thank our long-time marketing guru Mike DiGrazia who first suggested ‘Oh hell no!’,” said producer David Michael Latt. “A dedicated fan of the genre, Mike created the tag lines for 1 and 2 – ‘Enough Said!’ and ‘Shark Happens’ – as well as the Sharknado posters, including the original, which was a viral sensation on its own.”
So there you have it – even more Sharknado action coming out way this July. Can I contain my excitement? Well, yes. But for fans of the franchise, this is likely to be a rather awesome new addition.
Just don’t take it too seriously…
