Star Wars VII Trailer Description Leaked

The first trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII is apparently on its way… but what can we expect? It looks as though we may get a glimpse of some of its new characters.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The first trailer for Star Wars VII is apparently on its way… but what can we expect? It looks as though we may get a glimpse of some of its new characters.

According to Badass Digest, the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer will be heading to our screens sometime soon… and it seems they even have a brief description of what we’ll see.

“It’ll be short,” they explain. “And when I say short, I mean one minute long. It’s going to have The Force Theme played on woodwinds, softly, over flashing images of the main leads, each fading to black. There’s no dialogue, just reveals of the characters. And then the music swells up into a full orchestral piece – perhaps what John Williams recorded this weekend – and we hear a female voice, likely Daisy Ridley’s, saying ‘Wake up.’ And then the title card appears – Star Wars: The Force Awakens – and we see the Millennium Falcon, firing blasters, coming right at the camera.”

Mace Windu To Get A Star Wars Spin-Off?

Of course, this is just what they’ve heard from their sources… and by their own admission, it could be nothing more than wishful thinking. But if you ask me, it tallies with a lot of what we’ve been hearing. For one thing, it’s exactly the kind of tease that we’d expect – generating buzz while keeping the nuts and bolts of the movie under wraps.

And more importantly, we’ve also heard that the trailer is ready to go. In fact, an inside source explained that the trailer release was supposed to have already happened… but was postponed by several weeks to allow for John Williams’ new musical cues.

Of course, there are already conflicting reports about what might be in this trailer… and the folks at Making Star Wars have an entirely different description.

“Fade in from black, shots of the dunes, Boyega pops in to the shot from below. He’s wearing white Stormtrooper armor but he doesn’t have a helmet on. In the teaser we only see Boyega and Ridley really. Ridley boards a speeder. She has a helmet on like Endor Leia, a design with pop-down goggles.”

“A shot of Ridley’s speeder approaching the station (the TMZ set we saw). We see the new Stormtroopers on a transport. The flight is turbulent. New X-wings. TIE Fighters. The new ball droid that’s a gyroscope and belongs to ‘Kira’. The new ‘Sith’ is also revealed. He has a cross-beam lightsaber and the beam is a bit wilder and more super-charged than your normal lightsaber. The Falcon.”

Obviously, this is a lot different to our first description… but that doesn’t mean that either one is incorrect. After all, it’s entirely possible that the folks as Disney have been busy with a number of new trailers. And their sources may not have seen the same things.

But will either of these new trailer descriptions appear in cinemas? For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But I get the feeling we’ll find out soon enough.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens heads to cinemas on 18 December 2015.

What do you think of these mysterious Star Wars trailer descriptions? Will we see our first glimpse of the galaxy far, far away before Christmas? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
