A new ‘living’ poster has appeared online for Terminator: Genisys… and it’s the coolest thing you’ll see this week.
Our first look at the upcoming sci-fi sequel Terminator: Genisys wasn’t particularly exciting… after all, those dull character posters didn’t really show us much and all we got was a glimpse at some characters we neither knew nor cared about. But this cool new poster reminds us exactly why we love Terminator in the first place…
Of course, there’s also the small matter of the ominous countdown when you visit the Terminator: Genisys official website… and it looks as though we can expect our first trailer from the upcoming Terminator movie in around a day’s time.
But in the meantime, there’s this cool poster to whet your appetite…
Showing a T-800 crumbling into dust (or perhaps being dismantled by nanobots), the poster can perhaps be seen as an allegory for what it’s doing to the franchise – taking it apart piece by piece only to put it back together again for your viewing pleasure.
And with rumours that Genisys will completely rewrite the Terminator timeline, it sounds as though that’s right on the money.
Then there’s that ominous theme tune… oh how we’ve missed it.
All in all, it’s an impressive glimpse at the T-800 and a cool bit of geekery for us to paw over until the official trailer lands. But what’s in store for Arnold and co. in the upcoming sequel? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
Terminator: Genisys appear in cinemas on 3 July 2015.
