Wonder Woman will start filming a lot sooner than we thought… with Gal Gadot heading out on the streets later this year.
Although little has been revealed about the upcoming movie, it seems we finally have some idea of when they’ll be hitting the streets. Of course, Gal Gadot has already filmed some scenes for the upcoming Batman V Superman.
But it looks as though Wonder Woman will begin shooting later this year.
According to Deadline, the upcoming DC comics movie begins filming later this year… this autumn, to be precise.
“Gadot will next be seen in Lionsgate’s Criminal in August and in September the movie Triple Nine. She plays Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and then films Wonder Woman in the fall.”
But what does this mean for the Wonder Woman movie?
Well, last we heard, director Michelle MacLaren was yet to receive a green light from Warner Bros. for the movie… and that left some fans wondering about the exact state of the script.
And rumour had it, that she was still working on that script along with writer, Jason Fuchs.
But it seems that may have changed. After all, with camera ready to roll later this year, it must mean that any script problems have been ironed out. And a concrete time for shooting means the project has certainly been given the go ahead.
Obviously, with a June 2017 release date, the upcoming comic book movie had to start filming sooner or later. But it’s still good to know that the studio is happy to proceed based on the script. Now all we have to do is wait… and hope that another official image of Gal Gadot in costume will be on its way.
Wonder Woman heads to cinemas on 23 June 2017.
